Streams Refreshed

Following a period without our Fresh Expressions service Streams, we have decided to relaunch it from the beginning of 2010. The format has changed from a reading and meditation to a varying series of services all of which will be "different ways of doing Church".

We started with a Messy Church exploration of Christmas and the Epiphany (Three Wise Men) through craft and other activities spread around the church.

Other services will be Taizé style worship - candle-lit evening worship with reading from scripture, prayerful singing and space for silent prayer and meditaion - or worship inspired by the Iona Community- Celtic prayer addressing modern issues of justice and peace. Streams events will usually take place on the first Sunday of the month at 6.30pm (Messy Church events being the exception).

Dates for 2010

February 7th, 6.30pm: Taizé worship

March 7th, 6.30pm: Iona service

April (to be announced) Messy Church - The Resurrection

May 2nd, 6.30pm: Taizé

Opening Times, St Andrew's

St Andrew's is open daily 9.15am -5.30pm for prayer and reflection or for visitors to look around our beautiful historic building. Members of the congregation often pop in and will try to answer any questions you may have. There is a guide book on the leaflet shelves near the door.
