A small group of Christians meet midweek in Wicken to help each other to grow in faith through sharing and prayer. We are a non-denominational group and we come together for the sole purpose of Christian fellowship and to worship our Lord.
For anyone who is exploring the Christian faith, our group is a good starting point to hear the gospel and to discuss any issues relating to Christianity in a friendly and informal environment.

An opportunity to pray for our friends, families, community, the wider world and ourselves, by following a service with a flexible format.
This is for Christians of all denominations and we also welcome anyone who feels they need prayer and have little or no experience of how to pray. We would love to be able to help and to guide you towards a deeper understanding of spiritual healing and wholeness. If you would like to discuss this or, alternatively, if you would like to leave a prayer request, please contact: Julie Rash on 01353 722008.

We do not currently have a Sunday school due to the small numbers of children of the appropriate age. However the situation will be kept under review and if numbers increase we will start it up again. (We currently have a number of babies and toddlers who will be old enough in a few years time)

Desperate Housewives is a group set up by Claire Gillett as part of her Authorised Lay Ministry work. It is a group for women (who don't have to be desperate or a housewife) to get together for various social events. So far these have included meals, a theatre trip, a visit to the cathedral and a Virgin Vie party. They have proved excellent opportunities for us to chat outside church and meet up with people we don't normally have much contact with.
Look out for details of activities in the weekly Bulletin and in the
news section of this site.

We have a small but enthusiastic four-part choir - Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass - which supports the 9.30 am Sung Eucharist. We sing a Psalm between the New Testament Reading and the Gospel and this is normally set to Anglican Chant, but is sung to Plainsong during Advent and Lent. The choir also sings an anthem during the Communion as well as the occasional descant. We aim to keep the music appropriate, but varied in style and composition from the 16th century to the present day. We are always on the lookout for new members who enjoy singing and have a voice which is true in pitch and able to blend with others. We practise for one hour in Church from 7.00 to 8.00 pm on each Friday preceding a Sung Eucharist.
St Andrew's is open daily 9.15am -5.30pm for prayer and reflection or for visitors to look around our beautiful historic building. Members of the congregation often pop in and will try to answer any questions you may have. There is a guide book on the leaflet shelves near the door.
