Building Work at St Andrew's

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the work, especially the cold temperatures over the last couple of weeks. The heating is working but the timer switch has been disrupted by the power supply being switched off while rewiring work is done.

Desperate Housewives

The next Desperate Housewives event is on Thursday 11th March when they will be going to see the film "It's Complicated" at the Maltings Cinema in Ely. This is a romantic comedy starring Meryl Streep. Tickets are £4/£5. Please sign up in church and pay Claire Gillett or Angela Beaver in advance.

NB This is a change from the original date and film.

Lent Lunches

Lent lunches will take place on Fridays from 26th February to 26th March at the Methodist Hall, Berrycroft, Soham from 12 noon. Do come and enjoy a simple lunch of soup with bread and cheese with people from all the churches in Soham. Donations for the lunch go to Christian Aid.

St Andrew's will be providing the lunch on 12th March.

Lent Group

The Lent group will meet for Bible study and discussion on Wednesdays at 7.30pm at 39 High Street, Wicken from 24th February. The theme is "People On the Edge of His Pain", looking at the people involved in the Passion story. The course has been written by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland in conjunction with the BBC and you can hear related talks on Sunday Worship and the Daily Service on Radio 4. The course material can be found at http://www.ctbi.org.uk/424 and if you are coming to the group it will help to print off a copy of the week's session to bring with you and perhaps have a look at beforehand.

There is no separate Lent group in Soham.

Lent Power Fast

Wednesday 17 February 2010 at 07:04 am Why not try something different for Lent this year? Instead of giving up chocolate or alcohol you could sign up in church for 24 hours of doing without electricty in our "Power Off Relay". See leaflet for more details.

Opening Times, St Andrew's

St Andrew's is open daily 9.15am -5.30pm for prayer and reflection or for visitors to look around our beautiful historic building. Members of the congregation often pop in and will try to answer any questions you may have. There is a guide book on the leaflet shelves near the door.
