Foodbank

We are active in the local foodbank, which distributes food that has been collected via local supermarkets and uses this to provide three days' supply of emergency food. Volunteers  chat with clients over a cup of tea and are able to signpost them to agencies able to solve longer-term problems.

Food can be donated at the Ely branches of Waitrose, Sainsbury's and Tesco.  There are also food collections points at the Coop in Soham and in St. Andrew's Church.

From 3rd May 2018 the Soham distribution centre will be moving to the ground floor of Millbrook House , with opening times remaining the same as before: 9.30am to 11.00am every Thursday morning.

Millbrook House is centrally located – a 2 minute work beyond the library in the centre of Soham. The address is Millbrook House, Lode Close, Soham, Ely CB7 5WN.

Foodbank distribution at Soham averages 30 vouchers a month, this is the equivalent of around 900 meals per month to people in crisis.
